Parlor Pizza bar is one of Chicago's hot spots for al fresco dining this summer. This place not only has an amazing patio, but also boasts a rooftop deck for lots of outdoor dining options. Some would say it's a bit "hip & trendy" right now, which is true, however they have good food, good drinks and a fun atmosphere, which is what I look for when I'm picking a place to go for happy hour or Saturday/Sunday afternoon drinks.
The pizza is considered to be Neapolitan-style and the menu showcases some unique options for pizza topping like leek béchamel sauce or chipotle marinara. You can sample one of their uniquely named pizzas, or build your own for a nice selection of ingredients. Either way, I've not been disappointed by the crisp crust and fresh ingredients that come out of the kitchen.
The appetizers, or pre-pizza as they call them, are unique as well. My favorite has to be the Balsamic Glazed Fried Mozzarella! Gooey fried mozzarella topped with a delicious balsamic glaze - not healthy however worth the indulgence!
The craft beer selection is extensive, with frequently changing options. The menu lets you know what they are serving at that moment, as well as what will be on tap next. I even got lucky enough to be there on a day when they had one of my favorite hard ciders - the The Washboard Sasparilla Vanilla cider by Sonoma Cider. It's definitely a good place to go if you want to try a new beer or cider.
Rumor has it they will be opening a second location in Wicker Park sometime in the near future....stay tuned.
Parlor Pizza is located at 108 N. Green Street in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood.

I love Parlor!! I always get their kale salad, because it's super filling and like $7. But their pizza is amazing too. It was my spot to watch the blackhawks, and it was ALWAYS packed.
